Reading Position for AudioCD: The current reading position is now saved for commercial audio CD (CDDA) between reading sessions.
Time Jump: A new 5 minute time jump mode has been added to the navigation levels selected with the 2/8 keys. While in Time Jump mode you will move backward or forward by 5 minute jumps for each press of the 4 or 6 key.
Audio Message for Battery Level: If the player is operating on HumanWare batteries the INFO key (#0) will now indicate the battery capacity as high, medium or low to match the battery level icon on the screen.

Usability Improvements

Speed Distortion: Corrected sound distortion for playback speed settings above #6.
Fast Forward/Rewind: Corrected some issues where playback did not always resume after Fast Forward or Rewind on some books. Note that there may be delays of several seconds on the Rewind key for some books as navigating a DAISY structure requires significant system resources especially when navigating backwards. Note also that the Wave architecture prevents fast forwarding or rewinding between chapters or sections. When you rewind to the beginning or fast forward to the end of a section you will hear a beep signifying the end of the operation.
Audio Suspend: Corrected some issues where the book narration could stop during continuous play on some books.
Key Lock Message: The message, "lock", will now play as a reminder when you press a key when the keypad is locked.
Where Am I: Playback now resumes after "Where am I" messages.
Cancel Info: The Cancel (*() key will now stop the INFO key messages.
Mixed CD: Corrected an issue where a mixed Audio and Data CD would not play.
Time Elapse: Corrected an issue where the time elapsed could be reported incorrectly.
Software Update Progress Beeps: Progress beeps will be heard during future firmware updates. A successful update will end with a single beep and the player will power off. An update error will result in two quick beeps and the player will also power off. Note that these beeps are not heard for the initial version 1.2 update. After version 1.2 is installed the progress beeps will be heard on future updates.

1. Book Navigation Changes

The Bookshelf list is now circular.
It is no longer necessary to use two keystrokes to exit the Bookshelf.
Phrase navigation has been improved for highly structured books such as the German and U.K. TV Guides.
For multi-book CD’s Wave will now begin reading at the last book that was read on the CD instead of beginning at the first book.

2. Audio Messages

The Welcome Message will now announce the number of books when multi-book CD's are loaded.
Key #5 (Where Am I) now announces the current heading number instead of the current navigation level.
