Stream 3 version 1.6: More control!

Close-up of a VictorReader Stream used to listen to audio content.

Scheduled for February 12th at 11am EST

We’re happy to start the new year with a great new Stream 3 version! Focused on giving you more control over your experience, here are just a few of the features you’ll find after updating your Stream.

Improved bookshelf navigation

By default, your bookshelf navigation remains the same. However, by adjusting the settings, you can now hide unused applications on the online bookshelf (so they will no longer appear in the rotation).

You can also activate List Mode in the settings. This completely transforms bookshelf navigation by opening a list of apps that you can navigate using the 4 and 6 keys, rather than rotating through them. Try it out!

Download manager

You can now manage your downloads, cancel them individually or all at once, and prioritize certain downloads to get them faster.

Better podcast experience

You can now configure how many episodes you want to keep per feed, set the update frequency, and enjoy under-the-hood improvements that increase performance.

Other highlights include:

  • You can now sample text-to-speech voices directly from the settings menu before downloading them
  • Quick access to previously connected Bluetooth devices using a shortcut
  • Experimental eBRF file support
  • Idle timer configuration
  • And much more!

Lots of bug fixes, too!

As with every new version, this update includes bug fixes. You can find full details in the release notes on the Stream 3 support page.
